Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 July 2026

Althost is provided as-is for proof-of-concept and non-critical use only. The platform, its operators, and contributors make no guarantees regarding the availability, integrity, or security of any application or data hosted on the network. By using Althost you accept these limitations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Althost (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Althost is a decentralized platform that enables users to deploy containerized applications and managed databases across shared environments. Users may also enroll their own hardware to host applications or contribute resources to the network.

3. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Althost expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Althost does not warrant that:

  • The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable;
  • The quality of any applications, databases, or content hosted on the Service will meet your expectations;
  • Any data stored or processed through the Service will be preserved or recoverable.

4. No Responsibility for User Applications and Data

Althost takes no responsibility for any applications, code, or data that users deploy, store, or process through the Service. You are solely responsible for:

  • The legality, security, and functionality of your applications and data;
  • Maintaining backups of your applications and data outside of the Service;
  • Any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the Service.

5. No Guarantee of Integrity or Uptime

Althost cannot and does not guarantee the integrity, availability, or uptime of any user application or database. The platform operates on shared, decentralized infrastructure where resources are contributed by volunteers. Scheduled maintenance, node failures, network partitions, and other events may result in data loss or service interruption at any time.

You acknowledge that the Service is intended for proof-of-concept, experimental, and non-critical applications only. You agree not to rely on the Service for any application where data loss, downtime, or security breaches could result in harm, financial loss, or legal liability.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Not deploy malicious, abusive, or illegal applications;
  • Not attempt to disrupt, compromise, or damage the network or other users' applications;
  • Not use the Service to host or distribute malware, phishing content, or any harmful material;
  • Maintain your own backups and disaster recovery processes.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Termination
